Midterm and Final Grading Instructions
Please click on the tab below for instructions on how to publish your grades:
Enabling Grading Scheme
- Click on SETTINGS in the course navigation.
- If not already selected, select “Course Details”.
- Search for the entry “Grading Scheme” and check “Enable course grading scheme”.
- Click “view grading scheme”. Make sure the percentages match up with your syllabus. If they do not, click the pencil icon on the top right. Change values to your syllabus values. Click “Save”. Verify grades and percentages are correct. Click Done.
- Click “Update Course Details” on the bottom of the page.
Grade Publish Tool
- Click on GRADE PUBLISH in the course navigation.
- The GRADE PUBLISH tool will load the current grades for your course. Read the instructions on the top very carefully. Grades of “F” will be highlighted yellow, and must have a last day of attendance entered for financial aid purposes. Enter last date of attendances for any “F” grades.
- Click “MIDTERM” or “FINAL” next to the grade type depending on type of grade you are submitting. Notice that now the “Publish” button is now not greyed out, and can be clicked.
- Verify that all grades are correct. If needed, you can override the grade by selecting the grade in the dropdown menu next to the student’s name.
- Click “Publish”. A notification will pop up stating that your grades have been published successfully.

Congratulations! You have successfully published your grades using the Grade Publish tool!
