Introduction to this week's module:

Students tend to struggle with fractions, which will be the focus of Module 05 and Module 06.  Most of the main operations with fractions will be addressed in Module 05.  Remember to keep order of operations rules in mind as well when working with fractions.  An outline for coursework for this module appears below.  The only required homework submission for Module 05 is listed below.  You are also encouraged to do practice problems in the readings.  The practice problems include solutions and explanations in the readings.

    • Chapter 4.1: Visualize Fractions
    • Chapter 4.2: Multiply and Divide Fractions
    • Chapter 4.4: Add and Subtract Fractions with Common Denominators
    • Chapter 4.5: Add and Subtract Fractions with Different Denominators
