Orientation Homework

This is your orientation homework for the first week (well, actually only the first few days of class).  It is short and can be retaken as many times as you wish.  it is meant to begin to develop the kind of habit that will serve you well in completing weekly homework assignments.

Be sure you have reviewed the Getting Started: Orientation module before during this homework.

Yes, the button at the bottom of the screen indicates that this is a quiz, but it actually is considered homework.  The distinguishing feature between homework and quizzes or exams in this course will be that homework can be repeated to try to improve your grade while quizzes and exams cannot.

Therefore, read the header at the top of the page to ensure you are completing homework versus a quiz or exam.  However, you will not be forced to depend entirely on the header because text like this will be present before the start of every homework assignment, quiz, or exam.  It will state explicitly whether this is repeatable homework or an unrepeatable quiz or exam.

Again, this is repeatable homework (yes, again, even though the button you click below indicates it is a quiz, this is actually repeatable homework).  If you do not like the score you earn, go back and study the questions you missed.  The same design will be used for your homework throughout the course, but the number of questions will be considerably greater for all remaining homework assignments.

Finally, as a last reminder, you will be able to see the correct answers only ONCE after EACH attempt.  Pay close attention to the ones you missed and take notes.
