Image Creation by AI

AI Image Generators take a text prompt, process it, and create an image that best matches the description in the text prompt.  These images are created from scratch utilizing trained artificial neural networks. These generators use an advanced machine learning algorithm known as artificial neural networks (ANN) to generate new images and have the capacity to create original, realistic visuals.  The generator processes and is trained on large datasets of images.  Once they have learned the patterns and styles of the training data, they can interpret a text prompt and create new images mimicking any art form.

There is a wide variety of AI image generators, each with its own unique capabilities. Below are some of the most commonly used in the market today (Fall 2023)

DALL·E 2 is a Generative AI system from OpenAI that can create realistic images and art from a text-based prompt.  It can create new images in a variety of different styles as specified in the prompt.  In addition to generating images using AI, DALL·E 2 can edit them. Inpainting allows you to erase some aspects of an existing image and use AI to fill in the gap with whatever you want.  O
utpainting lets you use AI to expand the borders of an existing image.
